BHOPAL, JUNE 28. The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Uma Bharti, today expanded her Cabinet, inducting 19 new Ministers. Six of the new Ministers have been given Cabinet rank while three Ministers of State will hold independent charge. The Minister of State for Tourism, Culture, Water Resources and School Education, Anup Mishra, has also been promoted to Cabinet rank. The new Ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by the Governor, Krishna Mohan Seth, at the Raj Bhavan here this evening. The new Cabinet Ministers are: Anchal Sonkar, Dilip Singh Bhatere, Jayant Malaiya, Rustam Singh, Vijay Kumar Shah and Archana Chitnis. Ms. Chitins is a first-time legislator. Both Ms. Chitins and Mr. Shah belong to Khandwa district. The three new Ministers of State with independent charge are: Sunil Nayak, Rajendra Shukla and Laxmikant Sharma. Lavkesh Singh, Devi Singh Patel, Gangaram Patel, Gopilal Jatav, Dhoolji Chaudhary, Jagdeesh Devra, Karan Singh Verma, Moti Kashyap, Narayan Singh Kushwaha, and Shivanarayan Jagirdar will be Ministers of State. The Cabinet now has 19 Cabinet Ministers, three Ministers of State with independent charge and 14 Ministers of State.
