VISAKHAPATNAM, JUNE 28. A tipper driver Gopala Rao, was crushed under the vehicle when the lift it was mounted on while being washed, failed at a service station on Monday, police said.
Man consumes pesticide
An employee of the VSP, Ganapala Tata Rao (50) died when he consumed pesticide by mistake, according to the police. His family members told the police that Rao was suffering from stomach ache and had kept the medicine beside a pesticide bottle. He was rushed to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Two arrested
The Pendurthy Police arrested two ex-convicts, P. Sreenu and T. Manmadha Rao of Vizianagaram in the early hours of Monday, and recovered from them gold ornaments weighing two tolas they had allegedly stolen from a house on May 16 in the city.
