U.S. resumes ties with Libya

WASHINGTON, JUNE 28. The United States has resumed diplomatic realations with Libya, according to a State Department spokesman here today. The U.S. President, George Bush, had earlier promised to restore normal economic, political and cultural ties as soon as possible. A letter has been delivered by a top official to the Libyan leader Qadhafi. the Libyan news agency, JANA, reported.
