NEW DELHI, JUNE 28. To keep a strict check on ragging that forms a traditional part of the admission process at Delhi University, Hans Raj College here has introduced a new "anti-ragging'' form as part of the documents to be submitted to the college. The form - similar to an undertaking by the student - states that if the authorities catch a student indulging in ragging, then the College would take "appropriate action including expulsion from the college''. The form has to be signed by every student taking admission to the College and has to be submitted along with other required documents. Interestingly, the form has to be counter-signed by parents or guardians as well. Apart from this measure, the College has also formed a 20-member vigilance committee to keep a check on ragging. "We want to ensure that no ragging takes place in our College. Therefore, we have introduced this form. And we have instituted this Committee just to look after this. We might also get this form signed by senior students when they are applying for re-admission. After all, they are the ones who indulge in ragging,'' said the Principal of Hans Raj College, S.R. Arora.
