Erode
By Our Staff Reporter
ERODE, JUNE 29. The residents of the Erode municipal town who have been facing acute water crisis for the past one week can heave a sigh of relief now. The regular water supply is likely to be restored tomorrow evening. This follows an instruction from the Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa, to release 2000 cusecs of water from the Mettur reservoir. Water would be supplied after treating and would take at least 6-8 hours, since it would be highly contaminated.
