Dena Bank enters semifinals

NEW DELHI, JUNE 29. Dena Bank defeated Malviya Club by one run in the quarterfinal of the DDCA hot weather cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

The scores: Dena Bank 186 in 40 overs (Pradeep Kumar 60, Aditya Jain 47, Jaswinder Singh three for 34, Rajender Madan three for 38) beat Malviya Club 185 in 39.5 overs (Jaswinder Singh 53, Pankaj Sharma 31 not out, Satender Yadav 31, Sandeep Mor four for 37, Pradeep Kumar three for 36).

Delhi Police 197 for nine in 40 overs (Sunil Kumar 45, Kuldeep Singh 40, Sanjay Verma 34, Abid Khan three for 32) beat Delhi Blues 123 in 32.2 overs (Nitin Goel 36, Surender Kumar 35, Naveen Chander three for 16, Ravi Chikara three for 22).
