Ajmal Club routs Gulabi Bagh

NEW DELHI, JUNE 29. Ajmal Club registered its third straight win, beating Gulabi Bagh 4-0 in a group I match, in the DSA `B' Division football league championship at the Nehru Stadium here on Tuesday.

Tohran gave Ajmal the breakthrough in the 35th minute, while Miraz made it 2-0 five minutes later. Vishal (54th) and Ritesh (57th) scored the other goals.

In other matches at the same venue, Alvin struck thrice while Ashish Rawat scored two goals as Cosmos Club defeated Venus Club 5-0, while Youngsters defeated Shakti Club 1-0. New Friends trounced Union Club 7-0, thanks to three goals from Kulwinder.

At the Ambedkar Stadium, Delhi Students beat Young Sports 3-2. Vikash Meena (fifth minute), Dinesh (18th) and Harish (27th) scored for Delhi Students, while Rajan (42nd) and Atiq (58th) found the target for Young Sports.

Pankaj scored thrice as St. Columba's School defeated Royal Bengal 4-1. Sukhvinder Singh scored the other goal for winner.
