Training programmes for knitwear workers

COIMBATORE: One-year courses in production and design management and visual merchandising will commence at the SIHMA Institute of Fashion Designing and Apparel Training, Tirupur, from July 1. A release from the institute said that the course on production and design management would cover quality control, export documentation and production management. The course on visual merchandising will have subjects such as computer aided designing, fashion designing and fashion merchandising. During the inaugural programme of the courses a special lecture on "Knitwear industry after 2005" will also be organised.
