Ariba, FreeMarkets merger okayed

NEW DELHI: Ariba Inc., global spend management solutions provider, and FreeMarkets Inc., which deals with global supply management solutions, on Tuesday announced that their respective stockholders have approved the merger of two companies.

The union is expected to create a comprehensive spend management company by bringing together the leading spend management technology with complete sourcing and services expertise.
