NIZAMABAD, JUNE 29. The Andhra Bank has introduced AB Arogyadaan group insurance scheme medical claim policy covering an account-holder and his family. Announcing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, the Andhra Bank Karimnagar zone Deputy General Manager, G.D.V. Prasad Rao, said that the mediclaim policy covers family members comprising husband, wife and two dependent children with nominal insurance premium. The family members are eligible for total hospitalisation expenses once they take the policy. A nominal amount of Rs. 914 is being collected as the annual premium, he added. Mr. Prasad Rao had visited the Bada Bazar branch of the bank to handover the Abhaya Jeevan claims of account-holders. Two account holders -- M. Rajaiah, an auto driver and B.Ram Prasad, provision store owner -- had opened accounts in the bank but unfortunately died in two separate road accidents. The bank settled the savings claims of Rs. 2 lakhs each. The DGM handed over the claims to M. Sharada, wife of the deceased auto driver. The mother of the kirana shop owner, B. Manemma, received the benefit for his son.
