NEW DELHI, JUNE 29. Protesting against the proposed increase in student bus pass fare, members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad today participated in a march around North Campus. Stating that the proposed hike of 12 to 15 times in the bus pass fare was "exorbitant'' and "anti-student'', the students took a round of Delhi University, starting from Vivekananda Statute to Kranti Chowk, Mall Road, Khalsa College and finally dispersing at Patel Chest Institute Chowk. "This is the beginning of the larger student movement against the anti-student government and if it does not withdraw the proposal immediately, the agitation will further intensify and the government will stand responsible for the consequences,'' said State secretary, Nakul Bharadwaj. According to the students, the proposed hike will put an extra burden on the students.
