VIJAYAWADA, JUNE 30. Metro CC (Kankinada) defeated Bhadrachalam XI by 71 runs in the V. Mohana Ranga Rao memorial trophy State-level cricket tournament here on Wednesday. Metro CC, KDCA (A), Datla Sachin CC (Kakinada) and First Flight Couriers (Chennai) were the four teams which entered the semifinals.
Ananthapur CC 113 (Laxman three for 38) lost to Datla Sachin CC 115 for two (G. Srinivas 38 not out).
Chittoor DCA 139 ( Kiran 41, D. Rajesh three for 15, Vineeth Singh three for 44) lost to KDCA (A) 141 for five (M. Chidambareswara Rao 56, Lenin 32, Jyoti Prakash three for 47).
GDCA (A) 234 for six ( Manoj Sai 83, A. Arjun Kumar 58, Kameswara Rao 41, Saravanan three for 51 ) lost to First Flight Couriers (Chennai) 235 for six (Arun Surya 71 not out, Saravanan 34).
