Indian Hotels launches indiOne
NEW DELHI: The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), a Tata group company, has launched low-cost, no-frills hotel `indiOne' in the category of `Smart Basics' hotels. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Raymond Bickson, IHCL Managing Director, said a category like Smart Basics hotels has emerged as a compelling business opportunity. To begin with, the company has launched the first `indiOne' hotel in Bangalore. Priced at Rs. 900 for a single room and Rs. 950 for a double room, the indiOne hotel aims to create a new category in the domestic hospitality landscape. The MD said the company would launch about 100-150 such hotels over the next 3-4 years.
