Dr. Reddy's R & D effort pays
HYDERABAD: The emphasis laid on R&D by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories is paying off and it now has eight promising molecules in pre-clinical or clinical stage, covering metabolic disorders, cancer, cardiovascular and bacterial infections, according to K. Anji Reddy, Chairman.
In a message to the shareholders (AGM to be held on July 28), Mr. Reddy said the year 2003-04 saw the company commencing its first clinical trial programme in Canada on DRF 10945 for treatment of dyslipidemia. "We now have four molecules in clinical development-3 being pursued by the company and the fourth licensed to Novo Nordisk".
