TIRUTANI, JUNE 30. Consecration of the Mahishasuramardhani Amman temple at Mathur near here was performed today. The sanctified water was poured at around 10 a.m. on the granite idol of Mahishasuramardhani, which was unearthed at Mathur some 44 years ago. The `yaga pujas' and `homams' for the consecration commenced on June 27 and culminated today morning.
