Computer courses

CHENNAI, JUNE 30. The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Gandhi Institute of Computer Education and Information Technology is offering free computer courses in DTP (MS-Word, Page Maker and Corel Draw), Accounts Assistant (MS-Word, MS-Excel, EX-NGN and Tally) and Visual Basic .Net and C Charp.Net. Candidates must be in the age group of 18-35, should have passed class XII and be from economically weaker sections. Application forms are available at the institute, No. 18-22, East Mada St., Mylapore, up to July 14. Aptitude test will be held on July 18. A student is free to select any batch from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. according to the availability of seats. The courses are of three months duration.

The institute has so far trained 8,500 students, a Bhavan's release said.
