HYDERABAD, JUNE 30. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will conduct a fortnight-long campaign from July 1 to increase awareness among passengers on the existence of various passenger-friendly schemes, including CAT Cards, JET tickets and season tickets. According to a press release issued by the RTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, P. Gautam Kumar, the campaign will also inform the general public about availability of various value-added facilities like `free travel in city' for long distance reserved passengers. The RTC, from Thursday, will also reduce the CAT Card price and increase the additional accident compensation to Rs. 2 lakhs from the second year for repeat buyers of the card. The discounted price for repeat buyers will be Rs. 180, Rs. 160 and Rs. 140 from the second, third and fourth year respectively. The campaign will also have a survey to assess the awareness level of passengers on the corporation schemes. Six passengers with the best awareness in each district will be given complimentary CAT cards.
