Wanted person surrenders

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JUNE 30. Puthanpalam Rajesh, an accused in many cases, surrendered before the Judicial First Class Magistrate court, here today. Rajesh had been high on the `wanted' list of the police, who had conducted raids in many places in search of him.

One rescued

The driver of a jeep that fell into the canal by the side of the Chacka-Karikkakom Road was rescued by Fire and Rescue Service personnel, tonight. According to the Fire force, the incident happened at about 11-30 p.m. when the jeep hit an electric post by the side of the road and skidded into the canal.
