Price of development

Sir, — The residents of Harsud in Madhya Pradesh are unfortunate as they have become the casualties of development. While development is important, rehabilitation of the displaced should be the first priority. If the elected governments are taking difficult decisions for the betterment of the region, they should also make sure that the affected are duly compensated.
