Letters to the Editor
Sir, Reservation has not helped the downtrodden shed their shackles. Sons and daughters of senior bureaucrats belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes continue to call themselves socially deprived and land themselves the much sought-after jobs in the government sector. The really socially deprived have a tough time eking out a decent living. The same goes for the sons and daughters of MPs and MLAs belonging to the communities. Once a socially deprived always a socially deprived seems to be the policy.
