THRISSUR, JULY 1. The Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi has selected 10 plays for the annual State-level professional theatre festival to be held in Alappuzha from July 16. A release from the akademi secretary in-charge, V.K. Sharaffuddin, said the plays selected are `Dravida Vrithantham' (KPAC, Kayamkulam), `Utharavadappetta Uthaman' (Khan Kavil Nilayam, Kozhikode), `Napoleon' (Sreerangakala, Neyyattinkara), `Karl Marx' (Kainagiri Theatres, Kollam), `Sneha Gayakan' (Kala Chethana, Vyttila), `Innalekale Marakkaruthu' (Angamali Nadaka Nilayam, Angamali), `Anubhavangale Nandi' (Kalidasa Kalakendram, Kollam), `Thuval Mazha' (Thrissur Vasundara, Kodungallur), `Aalkoottathil Thaniye'( Malavika Theatres, Vaikkom) and `Akshara Sadas' (Varada Theatres, Vadakara). The release said the plays were selected by a jury headed by the dramatist, Vayala Vasudevan Pillai.
