Dalmiya takes over as ACC President

LONDON, JULY 1. Jagmohan Dalmiya, President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, has taken over the top post of the Asian Cricket Council at its Annual General Body meeting here.

Dalmiya took over the President's post from Mohammed Ali Asghar, President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, on Wednesday. Asghar had completed his two-year term.

``Yes I have taken over as the ACC President,'' Dalmiya said. As per the rotation policy for the post, it was the turn of India. Dalmiya will hold the post for two years.

In September, Dalmiya will complete a three-year term as the President of BCCI. — PTI
