Cloudy sky

Forecast: Generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 33.2 degree Celsius and the minimum was 27.8 degree Celsius respectively on Thursday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 68 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 60 per cent. Rainfall at 8.30 a.m. was 0.2 mm and at 5.30 p.m. was traced.

At airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 35.4 degree Celsius and 28.6 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 60 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. as 58 per cent. Rainfall at 8.30 a.m.: traced.

The maximum and minimum temperatures at the Dolphin's Nose were 33.0 degree Celsius and 23.6 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 72 per cent. Rainfall at 8.30 a.m., 6.7 mm.

Blood donation

State Bank of India zonal office conducted a blood donation camp for its staff on the occasion of Bank Day on Thursday in coordination with the Blood Bank of the King George Hospital. The SBI Chief General Manager, T. Kesava Murthy, inaugurated the camp.

Tow and show

JCB India Ltd, a leading earthmoving equipment manufacturer, would launch its 3D Super and 4D Back Hoe machines into the market at a `tow and show' event to be held in the city on Saturday.

They will be useful for those working on riverbed and in slush, site levelling, road construction in mountains, deep quarrying and dedicated loader applications, according to a company release.

Fashion designing

The Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) is organising a month-long entrepreneurship development programme on `latest trends in fashion designing' for women from July 14.
