Four-wkt win for SPK

TIRUNELVELI, JULY 2. Imressive bowling by Soundararajan (four for five) and Haji Meeran (three for 17) helped Sri Parama Kalyani Higher Secondary School defeat St. John's Higher Secondary school by four wickets and enter the semi-finals of the Tirunelveli District schools (under-15) cricket tournament for ICC Trophy at ICL ground here on Friday.

The scores (Quarter-finals): St. John's HSS 104 in 20 overs (Andrews 29, Soundararajan four for five, Haji Meeran three for 17) lost to Sri Prama Kalyani HSS 108 for six in 17.5 overs (Soundararajan 25, Maheshwaran three for 22); BELL MHSS 93 in 17.5 overs lost to St.Thomas HSS 95 for one in 14.2 overs (Subramanain 29 not out); Sankar HSS 117 for six in 20 overs lost to Pushpalatha MHSS 119 for six in 16.3 overs (Venkat 31).
