Mithun helps Cosmos win

NEW DELHI, JULY 2. Striker Mithun scored two goals help Cosmos Club to 2-0 win against Delhi Students Club and a place in the super league of the DSA `B' Division football championship at the Ambedkar stadium here.

In the group I match, Mithun scored in the 24th minute and then in the very first minute of the second half as Cosmos dominated the proceedings.

In another group I match, South India rallied to beat Young Sports Club 2-1. Young Sports took the lead in the 24th minute through Mohammed Nadeem but Biren scored the euqliser for South India, just two minutes later. Inside-right Inder scored the winner in the 50th minute.

The the Nehru stadium, Nivia Club held St. Columba's Club to a 1-1 draw. Satvik had put Columba's ahead in the 50th minute but Nivia equalised through Jitender in the 59th minute, in the group III match.
