BANGALORE, JULY 2. The Hindu EducationPlus will organise a "Pre-Counselling Guidance Programme" for students seeking admission to professional courses in Karnataka on Saturday. The programme will be held at the Woodlands Hotel, Raja Rammohun Roy Road, here from 10 a.m. The programme has a panel of eminent speakers the Special Officer of the Common Entrance Test Cell, D.N. Nayak, the Registrar of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, K.M. Srinivasa Gowda, the Registrar (Academics) of the M.S. Ramaiah Academy of Health Sciences, S. Kumar, the Director of R.N.S. Institute of Technology, M.R. Holla, the Principal of New Horizon College of Engineering, M. Channa Reddy, and the Director (Training) of NTTF, K. Venugopal. The programme will provide an opportunity to students to interact with the speakers who will be giving insights into CET procedures, what courses to opt for, career prospects, etc. The programme will be structured into two sessions addressing the streams of medicine (including dental) and engineering. The morning session will start at 10 a.m. (for medicine) and the afternoon session (for the engineering) at 2 p.m. Each session will have time slots for questions and answers. The participants should assemble at 9.30 a.m. for the morning session and at 1.30 p.m. for the afternoon session. The programme is being sponsored by the M.S. Ramaiah Group of Educational Institutions, Canara Bank, HKBK College of Engineering, City Institutions and the Oxford Educational Institutions. A similar guidance programme will be held in Mangalore on Sunday. The venue of the programme is the Town Hall.
