CHENNAI, JULY 3. Liberty Shoes has registered a turnover of 199.20 crores for the year ended March 31,2004 as compared to Rs. 70.60 crores in the previous year, an increase of 182 per cent. Exports at Rs. 54.8 crores (14.6 crores), made a significant contribution to the turnover, according to a company release. The net profit grew by 30 per cent to Rs. 8.40 crores from Rs. 6.50 crores. The company has established a new plant in Uttaranchal to produce 5,000 pairs of shoes per day.
