GULBARGA, JULY 3. The Peetathipathi of the Sharanabasaveshwar Samasthan, Poojya Sharanabasawappa Appa, today felicitated the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, by presenting a marble replica of the statue of 12th century social reformer, Mahatma Basaveshwar, <129>installed in the Parliament House. Mr. Singh, who visited the Sharanabasaveshwar temple and offered prayers at the samadi of the saint, later called on Mr. Appa and paid his obeisance. Mr Singh spent 15 minutes with Mr. Appa and was all praise for his contribution to the field of education and social service. Mr. Appa lauded Mr. Singh for his simplicity. Earlier in the day, school children gave Mr. Singh a rousing welcome during his visit to the temple complex.
