Meet on pre-university education

UDUPI, JULY 3. Srinivas Bhat, president of the Udupi District Private Pre-University College Teachers' Association, on Saturday said a district pre-university education conference would be held here on July 17.

He told presspersons here that the conference was being organised to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the association.

Since the Government had changed the pre-university syllabus completely, the conference would benefit the teachers, he said.

The Administrative Officer of the Academy of General Education, H. Shantaram, would inaugurate it.

Mahabaleshwar Rao, scholar, would deliver a lecture. Padmavati Badkilaya, principal of MGM Pre-University College, would preside over the inaugural function, Mr. Bhat said.

Sanjeev J.C., treasure of the association, was present on the occasion.
