MANGALORE, JULY 3. The Hindu EducationPlus will hold a pre-counselling guidance programme for students who have passed the Common Entrance Test (CET) on Sunday, July 4, at the Town Hall here. The programme has a panel of eminent speakers including P.V. Bhandary pro Vice-Chancellor Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Nanjunda Prasad, senior faculty member, Medical Education Department, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, A.H. Sequiera, Registrar of the National Institute of Technology-Karnataka, Surathkal, Srinivas Kakkilaya, senior faculty member, K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, Narendran Koduvattat, Vice-President, Infosys Technologies Ltd., Mangalore, and Sriram, Head of Human Resource Department, Infosys Technologies. The programme will provide an opportunity to students to interact with the panel after every lecture which will be helpful in knowing the procedures and what courses to take up and other details about career prospects. The session will start at 10 a.m. and will go on till 1.15 p.m. with 15 minutes break. Participants should assemble at the venue 30 minutes before the session begins. The session is sponsored by the Karnataka Bank, Canara Bank, and Nitte Education Trust. On Saturday, a similar programme held in Bangalore attracted about 1,000 participants.
