The Gannavaram airport recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.6 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Humidity which was recorded 68 per cent in the morning fell to 60 per cent in the evening.

Commodity prices

The following were the prices (in rupees per kg) of essential commodities in the local wholesale market on Saturday: groundnut oil-52.50, palmolein oil-42.75, sunflower oil-51.50, tamarind (flower variety)-31 to 35, tamarind (karipuli variety)-40 to 45, chillies (cold-storage) - 24 to 28, chillies - 14 to 22, rice (2716)-13, rice (super fine)-14 to 15, rice (sambamasoori)-15 to 16, black gram-19 to 25 and red gram (Kandipappu)-25 to 31.

Exhibition

Sphoorthi, a non-government organisation, is organisation an exhibition with posters done by cartoonist Mohan to explain to student 22 types of relations between members of the opposite sex referred to with the general word `love'.

The vice-president, M.Satyam, said the NGO had been counselling teenagers having various problems for the past eight years. The exhibition would be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Madhu Exhibition complex.
