Nityanand claims title

HYDERABAD, JULY 3. K. Nityanand of Shah Ali Banda Cycling Club claimed the Harmohan Pershad memorial trophy, winning the 5km race for boys under-18 here on Saturday.

Earlier, G. Niranjan, President, Akkanna Madanna Mahankali Mandiram, flagged off the Bonalu races.

The results (Boys U-18, 5km): 1. K. Nityanand 14m 10s, 2. Nagesh 3. Rajesh.

Men 5km (Girdharilal Jain memorial trophy): 1. Ch. Madhu Babu 13m 9s. 2. K. Venkatesh 3. D. Bala Krishna.

Boys U-18, 3km (Dhanraj Jain trophy): 1. B. Krishna 12m. 10s. 2. T. Ashwin Kumar 3. Amit.

Boys U-16, 3 km (Jagtap memorial trophy): 1. V. Sandeep 13 mins. 15 secs. 2. G. Kiran 3. P. Sudesh Kumar.
