TIRUCHI, JULY 3 . The Minister for Labour Welfare, P. Annavi, held a meeting with senior district officials here today to review the implementation of government schemes. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Annavi called upon officials to expedite the implementation of government welfare programmes and development schemes. Practical difficulties, if any, could be brought to his or the Collector's notice so that they could be resolved at the earliest. The Minister reviewed the implementation of the Wasteland Development Programme, entrepreneurial development schemes, drought relief programmes and the welfare schemes executed through the Health, Education, Backward Classes Welfare, Adi Dravida Welfare departments and the panchayat unions. The Collector, V.Pandian, the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, M.Paranjothi, the Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency, Manohara Singh, MLAs and other senior officials participated in the review meeting.
