Bhavana upsets Ashwini

BANGALORE, JULY 3. S. Bhavana toppled top-seed B.M. Ashwini in the women's semifinal of the BDTTA State-ranking table tennis championship at the KSRTC Sports Complex here on Saturday.

Unseeded Bhavana defeated Ashwini 11-9, 11-9, 12-10, 4-11, 9-11, 11-8. In the second semifinal, V. Ranjitha defeated S.R. Nikitha 11-6, 11-9, 11-7, 16-14.
