"MPs' meet serves no purpose"
By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
JULY 3.
The TDP has said the MPs' meeting did not serve any purpose as an exhaustive discussion on issues to be raised in Parliament did not take place. The party was at a loss to understand why it was convened by the State Government.
Reacting to the proceedings of the meeting, the party MPs C. Ramachandraiah, R. Chandrasekhar Reddy and M. Jagannadham said it was strange that Congress MPs themselves disputed the contents of the agenda. The former Chief Minister, N. Janardhan Reddy, even questioned the dependence of the State Government on the Seed Bill, 2004, to be enacted by Parliament in the budget session when a similar legislation could be done by the State as it was a concurrent subject.
