New industrial policy sought
By Our Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD,
JULY 3.
The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Industries (FAPI) has urged the Government to come out with a new industrial policy replacing the previous Government's policy (2002-2007) as it had cut down incentives and was not conducive to growth of industries.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, B.V. Rama Rao, president of FAPI, wanted incentives like 20 per cent subsidy on land, five-year tax holiday and such concessions to be restored for speedy growth and to attract investors to the State.
He urged the Government to constitute a State-level `parisramika mandali' with the Chief Minister as Chairman.
