Grain seized from ration shop

BANGALORE,
JULY 3.
The Food and Civil Supplies Department seized wheat and rice worth Rs. 1 lakh from a ration shop at L.N. Colony in Yeshwanthpur Police Station limits following a raid on Saturday.
The joint raid by the officials of the police and the department, led by the Assistant Director of the department, Girijadevi, resulted in seizure of 80 bags of wheat and 20 bags of rice. The raid was conducted following complaints from consumers that the shopkeeper Rudrappa was not supplying foodgrains to them properly. The police have registered a case against him following a complaint by the department.
