Lakshadweep students stage dharna

KOCHI, JULY 3. Members of Lakshadweep Students' Association held a dharna in front of the Lakshadweep Administrator's office on the Wellingdon Island here today.

The dharna was organised to highlight the plight of students from the island, who were studying for various courses in the city. The students demanded an audience with the administrator, which was not be granted as they had no prior appointment. A spokesman for the administration said the administrator would meet the students on Monday. The police said that the students dispersed peacefully after the dharna.
