NEW DELHI, JULY 3 . An elderly man was killed and his son stabbed by their neighbours who barged into their house and attacked them at Bawana in North-West Delhi on Friday night. Six persons, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the case. According to the police, 30-year-old Nanak, a truck-driver living in Nangal Thakran village in Bawana, and his father, Om Prakash (55), were attacked by his neighbour Ishwar's family with rods and knives late on Friday night. Both of them were stabbed. Om Prakash, who sustained injuries in his chest, died on the spot. Nanak, who sustained injuries on his head, was taken to Maharishi Balmiki Hospital where his condition was reported to be stable. The police were informed of the incident. Six members of the family - Ishwar, his wife Manju, brothers Dalip and Jai Bhagwan, and, father Mam Chand - along with another neighbour, Narender, have been arrested. Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident was result of an earlier argument between the two families. On Thursday, Nanak's wife was sleeping on a cot outside her house when Ishwar, also a truck driver, misbehaved with her. She raised an alarm hearing which Nanak confronted Ishwar and objected to his behaviour. The matter was settled after a verbal exchange between Nanak and Ishwar. However, Ishwar apparently was irked at being challenged and was planning to settle scores with Nanak. A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered at Bawana police station.
