Youngsters in super-six stage
NEW DELHI,
JULY 4.
Youngsters defeated Golden Stars 4-0 and entered the super-six of the DSA `B' division football league at the Nehru Stadium ground here on Sunday. Chitra (2), Karan and Anil were the scorers.
In another group `II' encounter, New Friends beat Gulabi Bagh 6-2. Ram Singh (2), Rakesh (2), Kulwinder and Surender scored for the winner while Nikhil and Tarun Singh found the target for the loser.
Punjab Heroes defeated Nivia 2-0 in a group `III' match in ensuring a place in the super-six. Arun and Jaipal scored the goals.
In another match in group `B', Delhi Tigers defeated Royal Bengal 3-1. with Dinesh, Surender and Shambir finding the net for the winner. Naveen Chandra scored the consolation goal for the loser.
