Kollam
By Our Staff Reporter
KOLLAM, JULY 4. The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, M.M. Hassan, has said that some of those who had been given allocation for starting educational institutions under the category of minority communities were not passing on the benefits to members of those communities. He was inaugurating a merit evening organised by the Kollam Taluk Union of the Muslim Educational Society (MES) here today. Mr. Hassan said that mostly weaker sections of the minority communities do not derive the benefits. In fact, they form a majority among the minority communities. He said that it was the responsibility of minority community educational agencies like the MES to overcome the same. The president of the MES Taluk Union, Anzar Rahim, presided over the function. Awards were presented by the State president of the MES, K.K. Abubakkar, to toppers in this year's SSLC, CBSE, ICSE and VHSE examination from the district.
