JAIPUR, JULY 4 . The Sarva Brahmin Mahasabha has decided to intensify its agitation for reservation in employment and education to Brahmins in Rajasthan and urged the Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje, to send a proposal to the Centre for a quota to the economically backward classes.
Mr. Mishra regretted that the United Progressive Alliance Government in the Centre was not taking any action to examine the scope for providing reservation to EBCs, even though the proposal was originally floated by the then Ashok Gehlot Government in Rajasthan last year. The Brahmin leader pointed out that the agitation for reservation to EBCs in general and Brahmins in particular had been continuing for the past five years and it was high time the reservation was extended to them.
