Vivek makes it to main draw

MUMBAI, JULY 5. After winning a close first round qualifying match, Vivek Kapoor advanced into the main draw of 32 in the National Sports Club of India-sponsored Zipsport All-India nine-ball pool tournament here on Monday.

Kapoor beat Prashant Choudhary and Rahul Podar in the second and third round qualifying games.

The results (qualifying round): Nikhil Goani bt Manjeet Singh 5-3, w/o Viresh Prabhu, bt Anthony Menezes 5-3; Vishnu Kedia bt N. S. Vakil 5-4, bt B. Anish 5-0, bt A.R. Kamat 5-2; Vivek Kapoor bt A. Gopal 5-4, bt Prashant Choudhary 5-0, bt Rahul Podar 5-0; Amir Habib bt Karan Chawla 5-0, bt Ruchit Shroff 5-3, bt Santosh Selvan 5-4.
