PONDICHERRY, JULY 5. The Lt. Governor of Pondicherry, N.N. Jha, who addressed the budget session of the Assembly today, paid tributes to his predecessor K R Malkani who died on October 27 last year. He said Malkani was a great statesman, an able administrator and a person of simple living and high thinking. Although Malkani's tenure as Lt Governor of Pondicherry was very short, his contribution to development of the Union Territory would be remembered forever.
