Letters to the Editor
Sir, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has appealed to the Opposition parties to help conduct Parliament smoothly and given the assurance that all the issues can be discussed there. It is, no doubt, a very good gesture. But he has forgotten that his party, when in the Opposition, stalled Parliament for weeks on end and boycotted George Fernandes.
C.V. Subbaraman,
Sir, The UPA Government says there is nothing wrong in having `tainted' Ministers, the NDA Government also had them. It increased the prices of petrol and argued that the NDA had also done it. Now it asks what is wrong with removing the Governors, had the Janata Government not done the same? At this rate, it will not be long before the people say "we voted all of them out, now we will do the same to you."
