Bus strike plan dropped

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
JULY 5.
The All Kerala Bus Operators Organisation decided to drop its plan for strike from July 7 following the talks held with the Transport Minister, R. Balakrishna Pillai, here today. K.C.Ramachandran, president, and T.Gopinath, general secretary of the organisation, said that it was doing so on the basis of the Transport Minister's undertaking to take a decision on their demands, including fare revision, at the UDF meeting scheduled to be held on July 17 and the Cabinet meeting on July 21. The Kerala State Private Bus Operators Federation is meeting here tomorrow to take a decision on the issue of strike.
