By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD,
JULY 5.
The newly-elected Rajya Sabha member, P. Madhu, has appealed to the Union Minister of Petroleum, Chemicals and Steel, Ram Vilas Paswan, to allot the IDPL township quarters and vacant residential land to the retired and retrenched employees of the former public sector giant. In a letter to Mr. Paswan on Monday, Mr. Madhu said that the IDPL management was imposing abnormal rents and penal charges on the few employees who are still residing in these quarters to force them out. Now that the BIFR has passed orders to wind up IDPL and its assets are in the process of being sold to clear debts, Mr. Madhu wanted these quarters to be allotted to retired employees .
