Vijaya Bank revises interest rates
BANGALORE: Vijaya Bank on Wednesday has revised interest rates on FCNR deposits, NRE term deposits and NRE savings bank deposit from July 1. For FCNR deposits in euros, it has revised interest rates to 2.10 per cent from 2.15 per cent on deposits of one year to less than two years, to 5.05 per cent from 5.20 per cent for two years to less than three years on pound sterling deposits, to 2.85 per cent from 2.90 per cent on dollar deposits and to 2.95 per cent from 3 per cent on yen deposits. On NRE term deposits, the rates have been revised to 2.5 per cent from 2.1 per cent for period between one year to less than 2 years, 3 per cent from 2.9 per cent from 2 years to less than 3 years and 3.5 per cent from 3.6 per cent for three years. The interest rate applicable to NRE savings bank deposit accounts will be 1.9 per cent per annum for the period July to September 2004, it said. — PTI
