BANGALORE, JULY 7. The renowned musician, M.A. Narasimahachar, died here on Wednesday night after a prolonged illness. He was 83. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters. Mr. Narasimhachar, a disciple of the doyen of Carantic music, Tiger Varadachar, started the famous Ganakala Manidira music school, first in Mysore and later shifted it to Bangalore. He won many titles, including the Asthana Vidwan from the then Mysore Sansthan, and awards. The Central Sangeeta Nataka Academy conferred its award on him recently. The cremation of Mr. Narasimhachar will take place on Thursday afternoon, according to his family sources.
