Sir, This refers to the article, "The dhanatantra age begins" (July 7). In the past, the nexus between political parties, corporates and the underworld was clandestine. Today, it has come into the open because civil society is too weak and timid to raise its voice. Active involvement of the people is the only solution.

Sir, If small groups can manipulate alliance politics in the name of social justice and win a few seats, what is wrong if industrialists who have contributed to the Indian economy become members of the Rajya Sabha?
